Evelyn Stetler, event coordinator for Art in the Park, said there are nearly 60 various artists, vendors and businesses currently registered to participate in the show.

“I love to bring these services to the people here in The Villages. This year, there will be live music, art demonstrations and a fashion show,” the Village of Buttonwood resident said. “We have a lot of participation from local businesses focused on home improvements, health care and wellness.” The fashion show, live music and art demonstrations are new to the event and part of an effort to make the stage more interactive than it has been in the past, Stetler said. The latest styles from custom legging, shirts, capris and high-fashion skirts will be on display during the 20-minute fashion show hosted by Brylah Fashions, a clothing store located in Spanish Springs Town Center.

“I love showing people our fashion and the versatility of our clothing. We really do dress any body size 2 to 24,” Smith said. “Everybody is always excited to see the array of clothing we have.”

Stetler said she is excited for the annual return of the free, family-friendly event that gives people a chance to enjoy the outdoors while viewing various forms of art.

“I’m ready to get in there and do it again for another year. People come to the show to really enjoy art. It’s typically a lovely day and (Snooky Park) is a great place to hold the event,” Stetler said. “I’m hoping this year we draw more snowbirds as a way to bring in new faces to enjoy local art.”
