The Wandering Art Historian returns to Leesburg

Wandering back to the Leesburg Center for the Arts, Adrienne Lee is returning for her third season of lecturing.

Lee, known as The Wandering Art Historian, is presenting as part of the center’s four-week long classes wrap up.

“I observed from afar that Adrienne had a successful history of lectures at the center,” said Richard Colvin, Executive Director of the Leesburg Center for the Arts. “When I came here almost two years ago I asked her to consider a continuation. This has built an audience. She’s excellent.”

The Orlando-based artist and historian will host three presentations all about diverse artists including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Hilma af Klint and The Florida Highwaymen, which will run until November with one lecture a month on every third Wednesday.

Her lecture on Jean-Michel Basquiat is from 11 a.m. to noon Sept. 18; Hilma af Klint is from 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 16; and The Florida Highwaymen from 11 a.m. to noon Nov. 13.
