The installation of a new roof meant more than words for one local resident.
Derek Ingram, a U.S. Army veteran and a Summerfield resident, is the latest veteran to receive a new roof installation as a part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project.
The Owen Corning Roof Deployment Project has assisted more than 500 veterans since 2016 across the United States in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, who helps identify qualified veterans for the project.
Ingram said the new roof is a blessing that he had been searching and praying for.
